What NewsIntel is
NewsIntel keeps one page per company with a dated timeline of events taken from public records. Each event links to the record it came from, so you can check it yourself.
We cover two kinds of event today:
- Layoffs and plant closures, from the WARN notices employers file with each state (see Layoffs).
- Executive appointments and departures, from 8-K filings with the SEC.
When we add a new kind of record, the methodology page names it and says how often we check it.
Who edits it
NewsIntel is edited by Alex Gvozden. The editor checks uncertain matches between records and companies, reviews facts that fail our checks, and handles corrections.
We do not write news stories. A page holds structured facts, the headline of the record, a link to it and a one or two sentence summary in our own words.
Who it is for
Sales and recruiting teams who follow leadership changes, reporters and researchers who follow layoffs, and people who want to know what has been filed about an employer.
How it is paid for
Company pages, WARN pages and the leadership ledger are free to read. Paid plans add alerts, larger watchlists, CSV export and webhooks, month to month. See Pricing.
